Sweet home- the bedroom edition, 2021

When you feel change within yourself, you also crave something new around you. On Friday, I was eagerly awaiting the end of May, hoping that summer would bring something new I’ve been longing for a while. Without any complaints, I can say that the past year has taken its toll on everyone, and there isn’t a single person in my work environment who hasn’t been affected by recent events. Personally, I was deeply yearning for new steps in my private life, because work is hard to leave at the doorstep, and it has undeniably left its mark on my life.

Although I’m still uncertain about the future (how long has moving been on my mind? I think about a year and a half. And a dog, and a good hairdresser too…), these things don’t depend solely on me. And if the team isn’t ready yet for some changes, there are still things I can create around myself in the light of a peaceful and fulfilling life. Small things like new bedding, a snowy white throw, fluffy-soft pillows embroidered with their own fabric, and of course plants, because without them a home is not a home.

Now that the fresh flower season has started in my apartment, my new favorite debuted: the anemone, which in pastel shades alone creates that “sweet home” atmosphere that feels so comforting after a hard day. This flower somehow radiates the feeling of a loving home in its simple beauty, and I think it has completely taken over my rooms for the summer.

And if I ever manage to summarize my needs for the future and finally move, I will definitely plant anemone bushes alongside the marsh marigold. Every day I will strip their petals and my vases will be full ♥

Welcome to our little virtual corner! I’m a single mother raising my wonderful son, Ruben, who has grown into a remarkable teenager. For years, I was the sole breadwinner as a Krav Maga instructor, balancing the challenges of parenthood and work on my own. When Ruben started kindergarten, I embarked on a new journey by studying healthcare management at Semmelweis University, specializing in health tourism management. After graduating, I began working in my field and experienced firsthand the tragic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic while serving as a healthcare manager in a state hospital. As the pandemic subsided, I transitioned into private healthcare, where I currently work as a practice manager. Meanwhile, our family moved from a small town to Vác, a charming historic Danube riverside city near Budapest. Here, we embrace the everyday moments and joys of life together. If you want to hear more stories about us, you’re warmly invited to visit the original Daysonpaper blog at S&Ru’s Diary on daysonpaper.blog.hu. So I decided to try living for a year on an international stage and see if there are other mothers in similar shoes for whom this diary could be a support on the harder days—just as it has been a support for me when I was able to look beyond the difficulties and sincerely believe in my own strength. Thank you for stopping by!
