On the road
Since we moved to Austria, every day feels like a holiday to me. But when I know that my whole family will be in one place at the same time, with no school and no work, on a saltwater beach, the anticipation still gives me chills. Afternoons by the Danube
It’s not just the heat that drives us to the water after work—we simply love this riverbank! Wolfie watches the dragonflies, or his all-time favorite: the leaves! Sometimes we just come out in the middle of the day to read a story, or to cool our feet on the way home.

Preparation has begun for the 2026 Archery World Championships!
Rú has had an indescribably difficult year, yet he didn’t complain, didn’t sulk (well, most of the time 🙂 ), he just kept going, kept doing what needed to be done. And starting from zero German, by the end of the school year—contrary to both our and the school’s expectations—he received proper grades, and his year was closed just like any local student’s! In the meantime, he took part in competitions, passed his English language exam, and became a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner at the Renzo Gracie Academy in Vienna. This incredible year is still far from over, and this incredible boy is only just starting to really hit his stride!…

Back home in Klosterneuburg with a Hungarian-language storybook on board!
As one of the “add-on souvenirs” of our visit to Hungary, this beautiful book found its way into our Klosterneuburg home as a piece of Hungarian children’s literature! Laci and I agreed in advance that we wouldn’t come back without a mother-tongue storybook, and since then, we’ve almost finished reading the tales about the little mouse. I’m really trying to take it slowly and savor the magic of the Hungarian language and the stunning illustrations, but I’m an ‘open book’ for anyone who’s been reading for a long time—and you know just how much I can get hooked on a good book. Looks like this applies to storybooks, too! 🙂

In the last week of June, we traveled back to Hungary—for the first time since Wolfie was born! A little time to relax, celebrate Mom’s birthday, Dad’s birthday, and László’s name day (both Laci and my dad are named László, and I also have a dear friend there in Hungary).
