Halloween 2018 – and a few more photos from the celebration four years ago!
Hello everyone! I’m guessing you’re all getting ready for Halloween (and then All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day) just as the occasion calls for. I’m sure everyone has their own story about this time of year—mine, as usual, was all about a hectic pace and little, skillful hands.
On Wednesday, I only had time to really contribute after work, when we threw a Halloween party true to our tradition. But in the morning, between waking up and heading to work, I had a good hour to myself, and I thought, why not use that time since in the afternoon I’d only have three hours to get everything ready for the guests? So, still in pajamas and work-ready mode, we started painting mini pumpkins—a perfect morning task: it fit comfortably into our schedule and got us nicely in the mood for the celebration.
When I closed the office in the afternoon, I still had a bit to do in the kitchen, so we all settled in there together (and to my biggest surprise, the little one started washing dishes O.O), and we immersed ourselves in a world of bubopestis cookies, mummy sponge cakes, and ghostly croquettes…
If you’re interested, check out last year’s Halloween, and the preparations and celebrations from the year before that too!
And let me share the sweetest moment of the day with you: when my photo album popped up our Halloween from four years ago—with 2-year-old Ruben!!! My heart clenched as I looked through the pictures, and I just can’t help but show you a few of them now:
